Partner BJ Peterson, FASID, directs her projects from offices on Melrose Place and in Laguna Beach. Ms. Peterson is an active member and fellow of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She served as National President in 1993/1994. A strong believer in volunteerism, Ms. Peterson was responsible for designing a major space at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, a local ASID community service project which received a 100 Points of Light award from President Bush. In early 1991, Ms. Peterson was selected for inclusion into the book "Showcase of Interior Design", profiling the work of topflight Pacific coast interior designers.

Not simply "decorators" of interiors, Peterson-Arce Design Group works with craftsmen and artists designing cabinetry, lighting, upholstery, custom interior finishes and murals. In addition to ""partnering"" with their clients, Peterson and Arce team with architects, contractors, lighting designers, landscape architects, audio-video designers and other specialists to create a cooperative environment leading to an on-time and on-budget projects that exceed client expectations. The partners specialize in remodeling and new construction, with extensive experience in kitchen and bath design. These are spaces that particularly draw on thier dual strengths of not only creating beautiful environments, but rooms that "work," reflecting on their mission statement: "We are dedicated to improving our client's quality of life through designing a safe, healthy, user-friendly, and creative environment to meet their individual needs."
